Yene Tech launches “Petro” – A retail platform for petrol, diesel, LPG Cooking gas & lubricants.

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State November 3, 2021 — Yene Technology Limited (“Yene Tech,” the “Company,” “we,” “our” or “us”), a computing technology services provider driving adoption of digital commerce technologies, today announced the launch of “Petro”, the Company’s petroleum products retail app built for seamless retail of petrol, diesel, motor oils, LPG cooking gas and associated petroleum retail products.

Hosted on petrostations.com, the service includes two mobile applications; ‘Petro” (for buyers) and “Petro Sellers” (for sellers). Both apps are available in android and iOS versions for free download in the Apple and Google Play Stores.
“Petro” (buyer app) aids search, discovery and purchase of petroleum products, in addition to service appraisals through customer reviews and experience flags. “Petro Sellers” (Seller App) supports; update of gas station product prices, fulfillment of purchases from buyer apps, and real time monitoring of station sales operations

Petro digitizes the relationship between buyers and sellers of petroleum products. By offering speed, convenience and quality control for buyers, the app creates an opportunity for sellers to expand their outreach and build long-lasting retail relationships.

Yene believes that digitizing petroleum retail is important for production efficiency and reducing the proliferation of fake products. By only featuring retailers endorsed as direct channels by downstream petroleum producers, the startup hopes to avoid offering fake products to her buyer community. The digitization service includes a data portal for downstream producers looking to embrace Intelligent production decisions.

With a mission to become the world’s number-one retail destination for petroleum products, Petro’s differentiated technology is innovative, scalable and globally relevant. The service includes a Pay-at-the pump wireless payments integration for gas stations looking to operate cashless, unattended and 24/7.
